Final Countdown...

... any of you who like 80's rock would appreiciate that title!
Wow... getting overwhelmed! But I usually feel this way before a big trip and this one's a doosy!
I'm looking forward to it but I think it'll be hard to be away over the holidays. Hopefully the uniqueness of the situation will help to dull the pain. This will be my final North American entry... talk at ya from the other side folks!
All my bag are packed, I'm ready to go...
Oh yeah... if snail mail intrests you:

Good times...

Well, just got back from probably my one and only Christmas banquet for this year. Ladies Christmas banquet... it was great even though I didn't have a mom to take... thanks Elsie for subbing in! And to Rachael and Heidi for being my sisters! I think we sang all the Christmas carols in the hymnbook too, since the next time I sin them it'll probably be in German... right...! Which reminds me, I should start packing soon. There's big pile of stuff in one corner of my room and my suitcases are at the other but they haven't found their way to each other yet... should try and make that happen tomorrow. Anyways... it's getting kinda late so I thinkI'll sign off... g'night folks... zzzz.
P.S. Dan, eye'll tri two doo bettur witt da speling neckts tyme!

Ketchup

Ok... so for everyone that has got a note to check out my new blog, I think I should get you caught up on my life a bit...
After working in Ptbo for a year I decided to move to PEI. I really felt that my time in Ptbo was finished (for a season at least) and I had been in a friends' wedding on the Island so I thought this would be a great chance to spend more time with friends that I rarely got to see... so here I am! I work in a nursing home here and love it. In Sept I went to Switerland for a vacation to visit an old friend. Shortly after returning from that trip I got an email and they asked me if I would return and help them care for their husband/father who was dying of cancer (I was helping with his care while I was there before). I said I would come as long as they needed me. Well, I got a call on Sunday passed that he had died... as you've already read I'm still going but for a shorter time. I'm looking forward to it and praying that the Lord woulds use me in some small way while I'm there.

Sad news

Aldo Moser passed into the presence of his Lord on Friday 18 Nov 2005.
I just got off the phone with Gina... my Swiss mama. They're doing ok but if you could pray for them this week that would be great. She's very much at peace with whole thing and that is an answer to prayer in itself since I wasn't sure how she would do.
So and update on my Switz plans... I'm still going, but it would apear that I'll be a companion instead of a nurse. Should be fun. Also Gina told me that we may go to Finland (WooHoo!!!!) in Jan so that she can visit some friends there. Pretty sweet, eh?!??! Don't worry Jon-Jon, I'll take lots 'o pics!
Peace.

Old Mother Hubbard

Good times this weekend! The cupboards are pretty much empty now... sorry Joe... no soup for you! Never have I had so much fun, never have come so close to being deaf... thanks Andrew! (never sit beside Andrew at a party.) And Erin was very precious with her game of 'Everyone say why you love Bev' game!!! Quite embarrassing but thanks anyways friend! And for the rose... it's excuisite!!!
I think it will be harder than I thought to leave you all. But I promise to return soon... with chocolate! You guys are some of the best friends that I have ever had. Thanks.
I found an old song that I came across in college and I had typed out the lyrics because I liked it so much. Here's a little snipet...
Understand that friends come and go, but with the precious few you should hold on. Work hard to bridge the gaps in goegraphy and lifestyle, cause the older you get the more you need the poeple you knew when you were young.
Thanks guys for being my precious few...

Geek of the Week

Well, here I am with my very own blog! I thought it would be a good idea to get one since I'll be away for a while and this will be the easiest way to stay in touch with folks back home. If only people knew that I had a blog... that will be my next project I suppose...
Anyways, the countdown is on, exactly 2 weeks til I leave for Switzerland! Mixed feelings... since it will be a sad time but it will be nice to be there again, this time for a few months.
Ok, so I don't know what else to write...
